Nice job, I would run that setup as long as it can be supported

What I have found quite often is BB must have changed things up quite a bit after early 80's vintages. Belts and bearings most notably are considerably different for our 86.

However, even though the nomenclature is different the assembly procedures are consistent enough to figure things out.

Good luck with your rebuild, should last a lifetime.

Merry Christmas to all.
Jeff,
Did you get the A.I.T.A./NAPA discount card that was talked about on another thread awhile back? I got it and so far everytime I have used it I have got 50% off an all purchases. Stores just enter the card information into the computer and it prints out the invoice with the discounted price.

Default Napa Pricing

One thing to remember is that I am in Canada. I do have an account at Napa as I do alot of car repairs. That being said, parts are roughly half price at any NAPA United States store without my account as they are in Canada. I needed rear whell bearings for my wifes car, $185 with my shop discount in Canada, $92 at NAPA us of the street. Exact same part and manufacture. Kind of stinks, but it is still good to live here for the other benefits.

Yup, snow. Not sure if you have ever been where there has been 11 ft of snow, but it is quite an experience. We love to snowmobile. When there is that kind of powder it is like driving a sea-doo. There is something about being 15 miles off of a loging road out in the middle of nowhere, blasting accross a lake or in the trails. Coming back to a warm fire in the camp, enjoying a slow cooked moose roast with the boys, then heading out at night to enjoy the northern lights. I do not really enjoy the cold, but, if you have to live here, you might as well enjoy the things you can do in the cold. That plus play hockey.

Oh ya, and health benefits!
