Spent the day doing the Transfer Switch swap. The old one did work, but I replaced it with one that also has surge protection built in. Losing an air conditioner to a $65 voltage regulator sucks. There really wasn't any slack in any of the lines but it is in there. Now to make a new shelf for that bay as the old one doesn't fit anymore. /shrug.

I am in the market for a roof air and heat pump, did you find a good deal somewhere?

I've done the web search several times; it's tough to find a deal unless someone's having a sale. I ended up with a 15K Penguin II heat pump and upgraded the thermostat and boards in the other two units. That heat pump is enough to keep the coach comfortable from about 35 (low) to 95 (in direct sunlight) by itself.

I was planning on backdating the replacement unit for the existing thermostat. Maybe I should go the other way... the old 5 button works OK though

I changed to the Atwood Air Commander 15K AC with Heatpump. I ordered through My12VoltStore, the prices fluctuate up and down. But they do offer price match. One unit I bought was $760, the other $890.

The only problem that I have is that the drain ports don't match up with the existing drain ports, so it drains onto the roof right now but they were a ton cheaper than the penguins.

Tempting but I am tied up here much of November and am allergic to snow. Should have tried to get up there between Barber and WOG but again, timing is everything.

Missed you, Tina and Murph of course!

At this point in the year you likely can wait till spring since you won’t need that AC anyway
