I'm never done having, "D'oh!" moments with this coach. I blew right past the fact that what I cited there had a solution embedded in it. I'll go out and check whether my bulk oil fill cap fits the fuel tonight, then take you up on that offer if it fits!

It fits on mine, should fit on yours, both 84 models but you never know with BB

Confirmed - oil tank cap and fuel tank cap are the same size.

OK,i know you newbies and a lot of you old timers have not read about fuel caps, but us admin guys that read every thread have read about fuel cap issues for years!
My question is, how come so many guys lose their fuel caps?
There must be a small mountain of BB fuel caps somewhere behind the flying J!

Feeling Randy, apparently some people have feelings

I can see getting in a hurry trying to get out of the truckers way and forgetting to put it back on. The metal spring retainer on the FC doesn’t seem to work very well, I’m not even sure how it’s supposed to work, seems like the nozzle could easily dislodge it. May epoxy a strong magnet to mine and just stick it to the fuel fill door while fueling.
