Default painting satalite radome

I would like to paint my radome to match the rest of the stuff on the roof. It's the origional white now. Any suggestion's, I understand that one should not use metalic paint or primer. Has anyone had experience with this?
Thanks, Bob 99LX Bunker Hill, Il

That's right. You can paint a radome but be VERY careful that there is ABSOLUTELY NO metal in the paint or primer, as you said. My experience with this was in VietNam with a radome on a Hawk CW radar site. After the radome was painted, the tracking distance went down to 3 miles instead of 70 miles. We're talking 20,000 watts here. The CO was NOT happy when I told him what the problem was.
