I wonder how hard it would be to get the front end pieces that are missing? I have my reservations about salvage vehicles. But, I have also been around enough from dealing with my antique cars to keep me interested. Some are worth it. Some are not. It really comes down to what your plans are. If you want to keep it for a LONG time, then its likely worth it. You'd want to get it insured with an appraisal attached, though (I'd think).

From the Q&A, it looks like he has to get the tranny working. Also, looks like the cabinets inside are peach. Yuck. Also, that thing got pretty wet based on the water staining on some of the wood. I can only imagine the electrical issues that could exist.

He also has a 2nd SP on there that looks pretty good if he got the front body damage fixed properly. I still wonder about the pricing on the salvage vehicles. But, he's been selling them at the prices he is advertising. So, apparently, its not as much of a discount as I would've expected.

Me personally, I would run away from this coach. For the amount of money you'd have to spend to get it up to snuff ... you could buy one ready to go with a whole lot less headache. I say let it go toward the light..part it out. Just my opinion . www.mrgoodbody.com

Slim,

I had never heard of it put that way before and it made me chuckle, but I agree some of these salvage 'Birds especially the ones that have been in floods need to be parted out.

Wow!

Something REALLY bad happened to that Bird.

Look at all of the wood trim and the dashboard. It literally looks to me as if the coach was half submerged in water!

I wonder where it came from, and what happened! Pretty sad sight. Seems to me that it's pretty much useless. Can't trust any of the electronics or wiring, and if the engine and genny were submerged, I wouldn't want them either!

Wow!
