I am looking for a good Detroit Diesel 8V92 mechanic near the Seattle / Tacoma/ Bremerton area.

At a $1.00 a mile travel fee that would add up to about $2000.00 from PA to Paulsbo, WA. I think he might find something cheaper.

Cheaper isn't always better...

He said he was looking for "a good Detroit Diesel 8V92 mechanic."

Grease Monkey fits that description...

I’m in the same boat over here in Seatac. I don’t need one currently but certainly will at some point. Have you thought of trying some of the boatyards over there or a mobile marine diesel guy? Lots of Detroit’s still in marine service. I have a couple calls out to see if I can get a trusted recommendation. Will post ASAP if anything comes up.

The marine industry is maybe your best bet locally but it's going to be pricey...

Scott got his a$$ bailed out when he made a stop in PDX, dropped a valve in his junker, guy out there, much more accomplished Detroit man fixed up his cylinder head and gave him a schooling. Search Grease Monkey @ Oswego OR, get that guy.
