Passport America gives half price at these parks making them almost better than Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart in Demming is full, don't even try.

Be sure you take I-8 to Gila Bend and then from there to 10 on the Phoenix Bypass

On 10, the Vicksberg exit at around Mile 45 is a good fuel stop.
Thanks David,
I run maybe 200 miles a day or less. Might need a few more stops. Planning on Cattleman's Steakhouse for one night so I am working out stops to make it work for me.

Enjoying the additive menu at the KOA. The only site available was hear the pool, so we get banged $5 a day for that. Of course we are next to the dog run, but no discount for the noise! Nice pull through, but had to raise the front a bit to get level, "watch that first step".

As we were leaving the KOA I discovered the toad lights were not working. I have a relay system in the car and the tail light signal (which engages the relays) wasn't getting through. We went to the local Walmart and got a trailer light system and did a quick zip-tie and duct tape install to get on the road. I will deal with the problems another time.

Hanging out for the night at a big rest stop on 20 East of Pecos. Head for Cattleman's tomorrow.

When we left the Walmart in Sweetwater this morning, it was cool and raining. The rain ended, the sun came out, the wind picked up and the temp is in the 60's.

Filled Propane near Shanes in Pa. on the 6th. Filled again at the last campground. 19.3 gallons. The cold nights sure kept the Primus busy. It is nice, but hungry

Well, we finally arrived. A little over 2800 miles. Too bad we could not have left sooner to allow us to do more along the way. A lot of miles and a lot of diesel and only a couple of short stops. We will definitely make up for it on the way back, whenever that may be.

We had the privilege of having "Golden Memories" stay a few days with us at our Havasu Hacienda. Today they aim north to Pahrump Nevada for relaxing month or so.
Safe travels Gardner and Kathy!
