Rick,
Kathy is doing a presentation at Petit Jean on April 30th later in the evening. (don't have the time yet) The park felt as it was a week day local residents would not be able to get there till after work.

New Mexico HWY 14, real easy drive 2 lane one small grade up and down not bad. Not much traffic, roads a little rough in one section but totally manageable. Way better views then I25 and much more relaxing a drive. Madrid is a nice stop for ice cream or a root beer float, pick your poison.

The “Gathering of Nations” is over the weekend of the 26,27th.
There’s a real nice Army Corp of engineers campgrounds at Cochiti Lake, that’s about 20-30 minutes from Santa Fe, half price with your America the Beautiful national park pass. They have some pull throughs with electric and water, dump station separate also nice lake views. Really quite and peaceful park.

If you have time trek up to the hot springs at Ojo Caliente, they also have a RV park but I never stayed in it.

If you need anything when your passing through Albuquerque let me know.

Made it to Meteor Crater CG. 193 miles, windy but not too bad. The wind is stronger now that we are here, but not the dust storms you might expect. The recent rains have minimized that issue.

I sure do miss the bigger injectors I used to have traveling through the mountains along rt 40.
