Default Fixed...S60 injectors

I just now got this issue fixed and wanted to update this thread. First thing I did..per suggestions was to change the racor and secondary fuel filter resulting in no change. My racor gauge read green before. I was pretty sure my turbo and CAC were working correctly as my Silverleaf showed good/normal boosts, but I rigged an input from my band days....a fog machine. Probably not enough pressure...I didn't see any leaks but swear I heard Sympathy for the Devil floating out the exhaust pipe.
I drove it all the way to Pine Mountain and home..about 80 miles total....It didn't seem to run..that bad...but I knew I had an issue. According to Silverleaf, my temps were good, my boost was good, no check engine light, my horsepower was showing 475 as rated. Testament to the durability of the S60..definately running on 5 cylinders with 2 others below par!
I took it to my local diesel shop....One injector bad with two others showing below minimum.......So I had them do a "power pack" which is all six injectors, a harness and adjusting whatever they do for a top end. Valves, deck height..that stuff. I had an additional issue of a broken ceramic rocker arm bushing? Lucky for me, no damage to the cam
Summary.....2 grand in parts and a 1000 bucks labor...but it's running like a scalded dog!

Wow Kip! I'm no mechanic but I would say you may have dodged a bullet by knowing your engine and realizing there was a problem, even though your gauges said you were OK. Good job.

Kip glad you could put this issue in the done column. Question do you use any type of fuel additive, wondering what did in the injectors. Water , lubrication, contamination.

They didn't mention anything that looked abnormal. The number 6 injector locked up which broke the arm. I occasionally use Lucas, when I'm traveling and using more fuel. I did treat with the Diesel Kleen on my last fill up...Walmart didn't have Lucas, but I don't believe that caused the problems. My filter changes have been preventative maintenance not issue related. They also mentioned that the rocker arm could be an availability issue

I am assuming the shop used Pro-Link or some other software based diagnostic tool to make the failed and failing injector determinations. Were fault codes generated by the DDEC you could have read on the Silverleaf to help you identify the problem? The shop may have cleared the DDEC fault code history, but I believe they should still be in Silverleaf history.

They used some sort of laptop based program. He showed me the individual cylinder data and history. The co worker joked about turning it up to 600 horse and Tony told me he was tuning for improved low end torque and little better fuel economy. She really ran nice on the short drive home so now I GOTTA go somewhere to test
Andy if you look at post 20, I attached a photo of the Silverleaf screen. When I noticed the problem it was after the 22nd. I do see earlier injector issues.

That's what I get from reading forum posts on a smart phone and not going back and reading through the entire thread. I don't completely understand the injector fault code descriptions though and I'll research them and see what I can find.

I can get more detailed info from them if you have a specific question. I'll check to see if his laptop saved my ddec history. I should have asked at the time.
