My manual clearly states the filter number to be a Racor 2020SM which according to the Racor site is 2Microns.
There is not doubt BB recommended a 2 micron. It is well documented. And I know several who are running a 2. But I agree with Rick, it is probably not necessary and could cause problems, especially if you live or drive in colder climates. I am pretty sure I had a 30 micron for the last 2 filter, could not decipher the one I just removed. I did just put a 2 in and fully expect it will need to be changed soon. However, as I said earlier, the fuel polisher guys are using 2 micron, so if you watch it, 2 is not going to hurt anything and may catch junk that needs to be caught. That Dash gage is the key to knowing what the filter is doing.
For instance, I am using Love's fuel, which is 10% biodiesel, and probably has more potential for contamination.

woody, you bring that Racor to WOG and we will get it on. I bet Dick Gideon has all the fitting we will need in his back pocket.

Sounds like a plan to me. I appreciate the offer. Just placed an order for a 10 Micron filter.
