it is a little embarrassing at a camp ground or rest area .

That video can be also found right here on the forum in the Database look for the Horton Fan files.

Default 'S' series 7.5" Horton seal kit

On Ebay; seal kit for the early Horton Fan; 7500 series 'S".

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FAN-C...ehicleQ5fParts

I carry a spare Horton Seal Kit in my supply box. They can leak air with age.

Give a holler if you need tips on rebuilding. Bill Pape knows how to do this job!

What I thought to be the Horton Fan actually turned out to be my alternator fan, it had worn on the shaft and rattled extremely load at idle speed but would not rattle under load. The alternator was putting out full power but the fan sure did rattle at idle.

Are you guys sure you aren't hearing the louvered vanes rattling? They make a heck of a noise, like a bucket of bolts. A lot of owners have dabbed a little Liquid Nails under each blade at the contact points to stop the problem.

What louvered vanes are you asking about?

How could you hear your louvered vanes? Aren't they somewhere along I-75 in Tennessee?
