Are you sure they cannot be adjusted?

Rod,
Google "paddle latch hardware" and select what you need as these are easy to rebuild or replace for the rear engine hatch paddle.

Default Part numbers for the hardware on Engine Door Latches./..

four engine door latches/hardware and associated stainless steel rods on a 96 42ft WB... Latches loose-bent- from someone trying to slam door shut repeatedly as evidenced by the bent rods attached to coach frame....

All the rods can be straightened and the latches repaired using parts fom others or simply replaced.
Then you will need to adjust them which is the fun part so look at how the rods move to activate the latch releases so you can reach in from the side and pull or push a rod to release the latch if you do not have them adjusted correctly.
It takes time and patience.

My latches on my 90 SP36 were worn out (wobbled on where the cam that works the latch pivoted in its rivet), original manufacturer was Cleveland Hardware, part 1-3400 - dealers were out of stock, replacement parts are Hansen 450-ZN-LH and 450-ZN-RH from Moore Industrial Hardware - mooreindhardware.com - talk to Kathy Kirby - 800-543-1677 - you need two of each LH and RH - they go left upper and right lower and vice versa. There is also an Eberhard latch that is similar - Kathy can help.
