Here's a SSP50X-Smart-Protector on ebay brand new with PDI lifetime warranty for $106. What won't it do?

Further study shows the EMS PT50C at about $240. That's the one K.C. liked in one post. Called "total" protection.

Default Surge Protector Decision

Just ordered the EMS-PT50C. Tonight Amazon $326. I have an internal one in box with documentation, never put it in. $125. Can send pics. I purchased on Criags List a year ago. Surge Guard with bypass lock. difference I see is no processor read out to give you the metrics's of the problem, Voltage, surge, etc. gives you the indication lights though. Working on other issues with the coach (exhaust) fabrication, back up camera, re-decorating etc. New Stereo. So anything to get off the list. Don't want to plug in the summer without one. Every park except Cracker Barrell , some Wall Marts seems filled up. I just need to plan better. Prospect of a full park means power issues in my book. by the way saw them in action at the Love Birds Rally in Vadalia MS. Power drop brown out. Did not effect us but someone had a relay issue I recall. Better to play it safe. Rick S. said get one so I do what he says. Roberta tells him and he passes it on. Keeps us both out of trouble with those birds.

Hey WoG-ers I'm looking to invest in a 50A EMS any day now and see PROGRESSIVE INDUSTRIES EMS-PT50X Portable RV Surge Protector as my first choice and Southwire 34950 Surge Guard 50A - Full Protection Portable with LCD Display as my second choice.
It looks like the biggest difference between these in the reviews in the fact that the Progressive was made in USA. I understand that isn't the case anymore as the company was sold and production moved to Mexico is the story I see.
Anyone have recent experience or opinion on these two? Open to other suggestions as well like a permanent mount one too possibly. Same two companies just the permanent mount models I'd consider
Thank you

We purchased the Southwire 34950 Surge Guard 50A ($350 from TechnoRV (May 2018)) and have been happy with it.
We researched both and we liked the fact that the pre-initiation test was short but other than that they seemed comparable to us.

I go without a devise most of the time. I use only 30 amp if I see an issue. More damaging than incoming electric is old technology and compramised draws the bus appliances have.

I'm just using a PROGRESSIVE INDUSTRIES SSP50X 50 Amps Surge Protector (240V/50A) followed with a Hughes Performance RV22050 Autoformer. I really haven't seen any power problems in the few years that I've had the coach.
