Default Air ride seat

The air ride seat in my 1997 43 WB is way too soft and bounces over the slightest bumps then bottoms out with a bang. Doesn't help I'm a big guy, either. What can be done short of replacing the seat ?

I'm assuming you can adjust the air pressure. I too am a big guy. I adjust it so im not bouncing. just let some air out of it. it may take a few times of trying to find the right pressure

There are no adjustments, at least none I can find. I've been under the seat for an hour tonight, trying to figure it out...

Our 96 wb has a fixed air adjustment in the base of seat..y memory says it's plastic ,I replaced all the air junk and put in a semi air valve that is adjustable so I can add or remove air as needed. Best part of this is the routing of air hose after two times pinching original hose ,new valve is located in wiring chase left of seat.

Joe,
Wondering if you can just change the base... I may just have what you need.. my buddy put new chairs in his bus and they had air bases.. he had me take them off... it may work for your seat..

some factory seats had a lockdown latch at the very front of the seat base,a large hook that you rotate over to lock.
what kind of seat do you have,Isiri?

I have an ISRI seat with an automatic valve and no lockout. Not a fan of that, have had others with a +/- button that were better. Plus my automatic valve has a tendency to leak slightly unless I get back out of it and sit down again.

Wondering if there are parts to convert said valve to one with a control. The seat itself is excellent and very comfortable apart from this.

I did what Paul did, just added a truck seat valve.
I left the automatic valve in place, and controlled the air going to it.
