Default Pipe Dream

I tried to use the search function with no joy.

Could a 6v92/Allison be used to replace an old Ford 391 gasser in an FC31.

If so the other minor changes (lol), like changing axles for air brakes would make a nice short bus with that amazing 2-cycle bus sound.

I thought I have heard tales of someone with a 6v92 in an FC.. someone will come along and enlighten us. I know that they have also talked about someone changing to air brakes as well.

Absolutely, I have seen it. Looks like it was done original (or better) at the factory. Engine was NEW also.

Last time we saw the coach it was towing a full size Chevy pickup TWO DOWN, hydraulic lift picked up the FRONT end off the ground. There are some really talented guys driving and working on Birds.

Dale did a fantastic job on the install.
He has a i think a 2.20 rear gear in the bus,and says it will go 100mph plus.
ON PAPER!! He never drove it that fast,no way, everyone knows thats not safe and against the law in most states.

The rest of the bus is just as clean and hes done some really cool stuff to it.

Randy, I have a 6V92 and an Allison that might even go together, TJ says they were rebuilt, send Mike his CAT back and I'll bring it down for your new FC...
