Default Maintenance Ramps

I usually drive up a bunch of boards to start a process of raising the bus off the ground. Is anyone using purchased ramps or manufactured something that makes it easy to slide under the bus for general maintenance items?

See picture of some ramps I found. Pretty pricey.

Thanks in advance for comments and suggestions.

Mike Putz ramps have served well for many years. See Post #4. https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...ad.php?t=20226 and more https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...ighlight=ramps

That’s basically what I’m doing now only the boards are loose and not glued and screwed.

KC's ramps were the design I went with. Settled on the 2x8's on edge. Sorry for the sideway pics I didn't know I would be posting them or would've done it a little different.

I would look at previous posts about this topic. It has been discussed many times. Some get crazy with ramp builds. I did not and they work fine.

Personally, I'd not trust those. They are made from expanded foam. We have a regular set of RaceRamps, and while they're probably fine for putting a vehicle on temporarily to get some work done, if you leave the vehicle on them for an extended period of time, say a day, or two, you'll find that the foam will decompress. I discovered that when working on our 2010 Tahoe. Had the truck up doing some work under it that I didn't finish that day. Came out a day, or two later (it's been a LONG time ago, so I don't remember the exact time span), and they had decompressed, wrinkling the rubber coating. After getting the truck off them, they expanded back out, but I'll not trust them for a project that may take more than a few hours to complete.

And yes, they are pricey!!

I made ramps out of a crane pad. It’s 2” thick solid plastic, and it’s heavy. They are not really easy to move around. I made them so the come apart. I have them index on each other with a bolt in them so they will not slip when driving up on them. I will try to get a photo of them when I get home.
