hi jim
you are checking the element properly you should check voltage from one terminal to the other.. normally you should not have 2 volts difference from neutral to ground but i can't see what or how you are getting the voltage to aquahot 108 is on the low end of useable voltage are you plugged into shore power if so check it at your transfer sw. it may have burned contacts or may be getting low voltage from genset etc. but from what you just posted your wiring is ok at element -call me if you like 309 six ninefour0four seven two mike

I have seen breakers mislabeled at least twice on Birds.
Of course i'm a slow learner and i ruined 2 pairs of Kleins.
No real harm done to me,but those Kleins cost a few bucks!
Cutting wires that are hot is exciting!
Next time,unplug the shore line!

Have to agree with Tim and Randy, as mine were all mislabeled, had to shut all off and find out which went where!!!

I did the same as Jim, after I juiced myself, I had a physical the next day and I wound up in the ER, for A Fibs!!!
Be careful, as you get older, more at risk of something happening to you as a result of doing the wrong thing to yourself

I wanted to wrap up this post by stating replacing the electric heating element did fix the AH not working on electricity problem.

I did however discover a few other AH issues that will need to be addressed. To keep this post clean Ill open a new post better describing newly discovered problems.

Thanks all that helped.

Jim.
