Michael: I forgot to answer your questions. Coachworks is installing the latest in-motion satellite systems on their $1 Million plus coaches. I saw two of them being built at the plant when I was there a few weeks ago.

My 1994 WB already had the mast with the old "round hicky" on top, a 1990's model wire attached rotator (if you are old enough you may remember a similiar device that set on top of the old floor model TVs with a mast mounted antenna) and switch box.

I had fair tv on the old sets but not like the new HDs.

I am sure the masts are available somewhere, probably for a very cheap price.

We have Direct TV at home, and I am very happy with it but I am not willing to pay what it costs to get it on my bus.

Thanks for the info----- I learn about a product or item and then do a search and with so much out there I end up completely lost or confused!! It take a lot of knowledge to make a smart decision. I appreciate everyones experience and help.

Howdy, Tommy.

BTW the cabinet maker at bluebird mounted the bedroom flat screen on a new door, fixed it to the compartment where the old tube was and boxed in that are and made a super storage area. That was an additional $500.00 or so, but it was worth it.

Wow, that sounds great. Would you please upload a photo of that? We need to replace the original TV in our bedroom. I could sure make use of that space where the TV is now.

TIA,
Liz Pearce

Jack & Liz:

I'll be over at the "bird" this weekend and I take pictures and post them.

Your coach is probably similar to mine with the bedroom tv in the left corner looking rear ward.

You would not believe the space that opened up and after professional cabinetry, it is now capable of storing three quen size comfortors and a quantity of sweaters, sweatshits, sweatsuits, etc.

All: Sorry about the term "sweatshits" - that is not something we wear in the deep south, merely a typo. I can already hear peals of laughter.

Howdy, Tommy.

Thank you very much for the photos of your bedroom TV installation. Very clever. Is that a black plexiglass door that the TV is mounted on, or something else?

By the way, I live in the south and it is deeper than some of the other Southern states and I wear sweatshirts when its cold here, it is all in what you get accustomed too.......I've even seen Randy wear a sweat shirt in florida...usualy with shorts

Jack & Liz:

The door is a solid piece of wood with a black laminate. I could not believe the quality of the work the BB cabinet man put into that project.

John:

Sweatshirts are even worn to church and funerals here in the foothills of the appalachians.

We don't however wear sweatshits .....

If I find some, I'll get two of them and have them monogramed for you and
and Randy. They would probably look good on y'all.
