When I first started using this forum, if I posted to a thread, when a response was written, I would get an email about it. Now, I still get those emails, but they go into my junk mail folder, and sometimes it is awhile before I look at that folder. I try telling hotmail (I know, a bad email provider) that mail from WOG is OK, but still the messages all go to the junk file. Any advice?

Make sure that wanderlodgeownersgroup@gmail.com is in your email address book or whatever your provider calls saved email addresses.

Brian, are you accessing your email at Hotmail directly through the web OR are you accessing it through something like Microsoft Outlook?

If you direct access your Hotmail account, is there a setting to designate a "whitelist"? If so, make sure the address John posted above is in your whitelist. In addition, check to make sure that the address John provided is not in the "blacklist" setting of Hotmail.

This is what I found to assist you...

To whitelist email senders and domains in Hotmail Live, Windows Live or MSN, you can do one of two things:

Check The Junk Folder: If email from "a Sender you want to whitelist is in this folder, click Show content to view the body of the email. Click Mark as safe. The Sender will now be added to your list of Safe senders.

Manually Add to Safe List: Click Options in the upper right corner of your Hotmail screen. In the body of the page under Junk e-mail click the link Safe and blocked senders. Click the link Safe senders. Enter the email address you want to whitelist. Click Add to list.
