With the weather being cool for a change, I decided to tackle the dreaded captive bed in the bus. Those of you with the corner queen already know the struggle, it's real! I have decided they need to create a new Olympic sport, captive bed making, BB style.

After 3 years of fighting, cursing, straining and crying to make this #$%*@ bed, I have FINALLY found an easily way!!!!!!!

First, let me tell you what I had been dealing with: 1 BB queen mattress with (2) 3" memory foam toppers. This made making the bed difficult to say the least. It was stiff(mattress) and heavy (memory foams) and like dressing a giant a jelly fish, that was all captive on 3 sides! I have lost count of the number of finger nails I have broken. I would have to pick the whole thing up and try and slide it towards the desk, so I could lay across it and get the fitted sheets attached in the driver side corners, then slide it back in place and finish. Quite a production.

Well today I have had enough! I separated the two memory foams from the mattress and pulled that @#$%# mattress out. Just glad no cameras were rolling and no small children were near. So now I have the 6" of memory foam sitting directly on the wooden platform. Much, much lighter and easy to bend so making it is now just a mild chore. Just have to figure out now how to get the old mattress out of the bus. Might have to wait for Tony to help.

That was a funny read , we could picture the string of events leading up to and following the finished product

A walk around bed is a true blessing .

LOL Nancy, I actually just fought it out the side door. Tony had come home to assist me but was intercepted by some J. Witnesses that drove up, so I wound up doing it myself. Some colorful language was used by yours truly and out of the bus it shot! Needless to say, they didn't hang around long after that. Guess I scared them off? lol! Working on uploading the resized pics now for posting.....patience grasshoppers.

Tony is setting a good example. I do my best to copy him when it involves “women’s work”.
