Default Driver seat removal ?

Starting the remodel on the interior of my 96WB 40. What is the best method for removing drivers and passenger seats. Saw some pictures on WOG of a floor being redone and part of the base was still attached to the floor. Is it easier to leave part of the base on floor or remove the whole bracket entirely?

Thanks
Erwin

There are 3 sections to the seat: base, platform, chair. The chair is attached to platform with 4 nuts and bolts. The platform is attached to the base with a 15/16 nut and 2 washers. One washer is nylon, one is a convex metal washer- make sure the rounded part of metal washer goes up.
The bases are thru bolted to under the coach with long bolts and nuts and washers. If you remove this, block the coach cause it can come down on you and really mess up your remodeling plans.

Ernie
Thanks for the build description . And the nut size and orientation info. I think I’ll take the seat off base to lighten it up. Then go for the long through bolts.
