Default Detectors - Propane/smoke etc

Gardner said:Something I might be interested in is a group buy of a system with multiple remote sensors. The old Birds had such a system but the sensors are old and no longer trustworthy. I am sure parts are available to restore them, but a standard system of calibrating them is beyond the average persons resources. On my '83 there are propane/smoke? detectors by each heater and the refrigerator. They are no longer functional, but seem like a good idea. Does anyone know of a modern system that can duplicate the original?

Here is one website, I am lucky mine still works on my 84.
Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty in moving your thread to a new one. It should be good.

Propane detectors are normally near the floor, and c/o and smoke detectors high on the wall or ceiling. On the newer coaches with a propane detector that also controls a shutoff valve at the main propane tank, I think only CCI (pre-tell 2) makes a version that does that currently.

CCI Control Pre-Tell 2 detector/cutoff for propane with cutoff valve: http://www.amazon.com/Propane-Detect.../dp/B001MLZCOA

w/o cutoff valve: http://www.hilltoprv.net/browseprodu...LVE-BROWN.HTML
