Hey all

Currently own a Class C made, obviously, by S.O.B., and tired of the poor quality. Not a full timer any time soon as we have a four and six year old in the house. I do like to travel to motorcycle races regularly with the family and/or others and after 25 years in law enforcement looking to hit the road a good bit more.

All of this is a long way of saying hello and I will probably be calling on some of your advice in the future. Had my eyes on a mid- to late 80's Wanderlodge (based mostly on price)but open to suggestions.

Thanks Randy! Looking forward to seeing the pics of the '87 FC31 when you get them on your site. I have a pretty long and pretty steep (both down and then back up) drive to the house and think a shorter wheelbase model might work best. Probably my first question for some of you experts. If I am not very, very careful the Class C will drag the rear bumper/trailer hitch.

Hi, Ray - you've come to the right place. Look and plan there are plenty of good birds out there. You might should alert your spouse that you will be beginning a very intense "love affair" with a machine.

I'm just up the road a piece in Oneonta if you need help.

Ray, Welcome. The FCs have huge rollers on the tail to help with drag. You will need to shoot the approach and exit angles to see what is needed to get in and out of your drive.

Ray, you are in the right place to learn about Birds. However, you should be warned if you spend much time here you may be infected with the "Bird Bug Virus" and the only known cure is an expensive purchase of a Bird. Ask me how I know.

Ray,
Welcome to the party. I have 30 years with the Indiana State Police and retired in '02. This is a great place to find out what you need to know to buy the Bird of your dreams and once you do it's also a great place to keep in going. These guys are all super and really know what they are talking about. Read all the posts and learn a bunch.

Welcome to the party. Am retired(26+years) deputy sheriff (La.). Have you thought about some ramps for the approach. Used only when you need them. Might use 2x12's
for whatever length.
Also, if you have the coach by the end of Oct., we are having a rally a short distance from you, in Ga.
Come join us, and put faces to names.
