Happy trails Roy,rest in peace.

The wanderlodge owners group will be sending flowers or a donation to his favorite charity.

This is truly sad news.

Roy was still motivated at RATS (Nov.) And talked excitedly about his recent trip out West. And continued to drive his Bird.,
He always looked forward with a positive attitude. This is very inspiring to us Old Guys.

Roy was still actively visiting the forums web site quite frequently, his last visit to the web site was last Thursday.

Roy was a great friend to me as well- I last saw him in December, but we talked on the phone weekly. When we winterized his coach after RATS in November, he was still hoping for another trip to Maxton, which he greatly enjoyed. Roy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma back in '95 and only given 13 months to live back then. At the time, he was working and had a young daughter, Stephanie. When we spoke recently, he made the comment that he'd had a whole year for every month they gave him and was pretty thankful for all the times that he'd spent with members of the Bluebird community and traveling with his daughter each summer. Roy's wife, Barbara and daughter, Stephanie are at 7812 Belleflower Drive, Springfiled, VA 22152.
Donations may be made to Eddie's Club at PO Box 523493, Springfield, VA 22152 (CFC #14075). Eddie's Club, Inc., is a local non-profit organization geared towards giving youngsters, boys and girls ages 4-21 that have any form of disability, an opportunity to participate in a supervised, volunteer-based, activity and recreational program --- this is in keeping with Roy's desires to support organizations in remembrance of his brother, Arthur (who died in 1961).
