Overhead bin gas struts

Okay, I've searched and couldn't find any posts, so maybe I'm searching with the wrong words. I'm trying to figure out where to get replacement gas struts for the overhead bins, most of mine are weak and won't hold the doors up. They say "LIFT-O-MAT" on them, with some numbers after them: FMR115 0160N 344/94. Googling isn't finding anything with those numbers. How do I figure out which replacements to get? Is the 0160N the strength? If so, I've found some 100N and 150N, I guess 150N is the closest? What have others done and where have you bought replacements?

THE PO OF MY COACH INSTALLED 1" PVC PIPE ON THE SHOCK JUST LONG ENOUGH TO REST THE bottom of the top half of the shock when the cabinet is open. This is just a sleeve that covers the bottom of the shock, when you want to close the cabinet just align the pvc tube with the shock and shut the cabinet.I guess the cost of replacing shocks was prohibitive and I think it works just fine, Robert

Markus, just replaced all mine ('89 PT40) best deal I found was Reid Supply out of MI. PM me if you want additional info. I will dig up the details

I found them at the local RV store. Seems like they were about $13 each.

I just replaced all of mine with struts I found in stock at Camping World. The price was even a couple bucks better than anything I found online. $14 and change.

I used 12" 35lb. and was happy. That seems to be a little too heavy for the two very small doors, I think I will order some 20lb. for these doors.

For the outside compartment doors I used 17" 35lb. for the short doors and 17" 45lb. for the long doors. Very nice not having to fight doors anymore.

Those numbers are "Newtons" ...the SI (metric) unit of force. The ones marked "160" are about 36 pounds (force.) The PO replaced the interior ones in my coach with RV store parts, all marked "35 lbs," for both the narrow and wide bins.
