Default Adding a DSL modem to our M380

We will be full timing shortly and the only viable internet option available to us at the resort is DSL. We have the DSL service at the pole outside our M380. Are there any great ideas or shortcuts to getting the phone line from the DSL pole into the coach and into the router? Thanks!

Is there a coax and phone cable hookup in the electrical bay on M380? If not I would bring it in there and up into coach.

Same here. Problem is if the DSL modem is really on the pole outside, these jacks won’t do you any good - you’ll be bringing in a CAT5/6 Ethernet cable. That means finding an existing “hole” between outside and inside to route the cable through. There are other 380 owners more familiar with these options - I’m sure one of them will show up soon. Just be sure the route doesn’t include sharp turns or closed bay door seals - CAT5/6 doesn’t like to be compressed.

BTW, where are you locating your router inside? That may help others guide you to the best route.

The DSL router/modem will be inside the coach and will be below the table as I want a VOIP phone plugged into it

In that case, you just need a “legacy” phone extension cable long enough to go from the post to the 380. Plug one end into the jack on the post and the other into the phone jack in the 380’s Hurricane bay. You can then plug your DSL modem into any of the phone jacks inside. I’d use some good contact cleaner on all the jacks first - your DSL speed is highly dependent on the quality of those connection points.
