Default Hitch questions

I think I've seen a couple of Wanderlodges that have some kind of "outriggers" on their hitch that ties into the crossmember under the engine. What I have is a snot-welded pair of super long receiver tubes from the hitch to the engine crossmember that I want to make gone, or replace with something that isn't so fabricobbled.

In the photo here the triangles bolt to the engine crossmember. Those tubes muck up the works under the engine and I don't see the need for them in general use. I think someone might have had a motorcycle rack on here in the past.

So what do you all have on buses?

I have never seen what you have in the pics.
But like you i have seen the out rigger braces that go from each side of the trailer hitch out board to the frame.
The 84 i had had them for sure,i'm thinking back on just what the WB's had,i have parted out a few of them.
Get yourself some hefty channel and make some out riggers, you will be happy!
