Default The Bad and The Ugly about Shock Warehouse

Here is the bad!!!

Went online to Shockwarehouse.com to order shocks for the 95 BMC, back in May of this year... I ordered the shocks they had listed for a 95 Spartan chassis, which they listed as Koni 8805 1022, which happen to be the wrong shocks as confirmed by an email from Koni Engineer stated they did not have enough extended length... They were too short by 2.5"...
The ones they should have sent are Koni 8805 1009 had them installed by a class 8 truck shop in Yuma and drove home, noticed rough ride, then noticed bus did not air up to its ride height due to the short extended length...
Had them all replaced with monroe's that Spartan recommended...
Well I complained to SWH they said send them back, they sent a shipping label and sent them back to them a day later... To this day, they will not refund my monies for the two shocks, the excuse they give me is that they were installed, I have called them several times a day and they do not answer my calls!!!
I have a dispute with Paypal as I used my PP debit card to purchase...
Sent info to BBB of their action...

I have posted this to their website and to BB Facebook groups;

If you all that need shocks for your vehicles please refrain from buying them from;
Shockwarehouse.com, as they refused to refund monies to me that they listed the wrong part # for my rear shocks, they have blocked my calls and refuse to answer the phone, even after I used a different number they hung up on me and I can’t get them to answer!!! So I will be sending out warnings to people I know to be wary of them!!!

Did you know they were the wrong ones when they were installed?

Andy,
No I did not, I only knew when the ride was bagging all the inside of the coach and rode terrible, then noticed it did not air up fully... I'm sure the tech did not know either, as I gave them to him and he installed with the bus aired down on the lift they put the coach on...

That's a bad deal! You can dispute the charge on your credit card if that's how you paid, and you *will* get your money back.

Default shocks

I got the shocks for my 37 BMC (as I recall from eShocks) and it worked well. I bought Bilsteins (thought the Koni's were too pricey at the time).

The part numbers for the Bilsteins I bought are as follows if anyone is interested

Fronts B46-1593
Rears B46-1594

Those are also the numbers given to me by Spartan for my 1994. I asked if they had numbers for a Koni shock. They did not. I called Koni and asked if they had a cross for the Bilsteins. They did not. Looks like new Bilsteins for me too.

Lee,

The shop I went to, called Spartan and Spartan gave them Monroe shock P/N's, that's what's on now and they are fine...

Make sure you document everything and screen shot the wrong part number listed connected to the BMC before they change it. I think this would be covered by PayPal’s buyers guaranteed, and now you’ve sent the part back and have nothing. I know this won’t help, but with a credit card you have more as far as a payment dispute I think they have more clout with getting merchants to comply.
I think PayPal should back you up though, they did not describe the product properly and listed the wrong part number. I’d get on PayPal to cover you and get your money back.
