Default Phoenix to DC

Driving solo from Phoenix to DC next week. Just did 1000 miles to San Diego, bus ran great.

I think I'll be going I40. Just a heads up in case help is needed or fair warning to stay off the roads.........

Unhappy AVOID OKLAHOMA

Just be careful going through Oklahoma. They are a little crazy for asset forfeiture there. Now they will even try to seize money in your bank back home. The trooper only has to have a suspicion that something could be criminal (we can look up the measurement for suspicion and.. Oh look it can be anything. Even a gas bubble).
OK Police Begin Using ERAD Readers for Civil Asset Forfeiture

Rick's right... except no 64... he meant to say 66 East at Front Royal, VA. I'm in DC for work every two weeks. Give me a shout when you get settled in.

I would really like to comment on this, but I think I will just keep my mouth shut!

Thanks all.

My start EOD has been pushed back two weeks. Will be driving out last week of April.

Plan to stay at Adventure Bound RV, Lothian, MD until we can purchase. Currently researching West Springfield, VA.

Made it with very little drama. 2400 miles in 3 1/2 days, cruise set at 60 when possible.

One issue, I over heated the Onan in Virginia. Luckily I needed heat for remainder of trip. Coolant now in the oil.

I had planned to pull the Onan last month, but took kids to Lego Land, accepted a job in DC, sold our house in Arizona (took 3 days), packed up most of house, and drove to DC instead. Rest of family stayed behind to finish school and finish packing.

I'll get to a different thread for the onan rebuild process. I'm homeless for 60-90 days, should be able to tackle shortly after finding a house.

Welcome to the area! Great 4 season climate and generally one traffic condition: rush hour. On the other hand you have mountains 2 hours West, beaches 2 hours East.

I've lived here for 35 years...in Fairfax County & Prince William County. Want to talk...PM me for contact #.
