Tell Us Where You're At As you travel around the country, why not take the time to tell our members where you have settled for the night, week, or month. There may be another member close by, that would like to meet you, so put that information right here. |

Sold my house in New Haven, and have yet to make an offer on a new home. Have a couple possibilities, including one that is a short sale, which can take up to 6 months to close. So I am going full time in my coach in a few weeks.
The first park I called, not far outside of New Haven, had a hard 10 year rule. It 's not a glamorous park by any means, so perhaps I feel the same way about their park as they do about my coach. He wouldn't even let me send a photo to consider an exception. Here's the funny part, he also stated that most parks in CT will say the same thing. Not true! The next park I called was Mystic KOA and they did not even ask the age of my coach. They had a site available, which I booked, $825 a month (a better deal than the other park!) So Once I get my stuff moved into the coach, and my furniture into storage, I will be calling Mystic home until the spring time.

Good luck! As much as it sucks to be "homeless", I predict the housing market will be in full blown freefall 6 months from now. Will make 2009 look like a walk in the park. Crazy how the market is completely oblivious to it yet at this point and it's still a crazy hot sellers market in most areas that aren't major metros.

I guess that's not bad for a KOA in New England. Here on the bayou 400-500 is the norm with full hookups.

Currently in Los Angeles paying $1,310 per month including a $50 charge for a dog! They did have a 10 year rule that was waived after inspecting the bus.
Good luck full timing, it’s a funny feeling in the beginning but we got used to it and dear wife doesn’t want to go back and loves the lifestyle. We have avoided cold weather mostly because I’m lazy and don’t want to deal with “winter camping”, but other than that it’s been easy and somewhat liberating. I guess for me knowing we can pick up and go anytime we like to is a great feeling. Happy trails,

Whenever I run into parks that won’t even consider anything over 10 years old you can always go to KOA. We did a similar thing and lived full time after selling our previous house while house hunting. I miss living on the bus.
