Default Upper ball joint boots

Michael Campbell was here and we went down to the NAPA store and did some research on CV axle boots, looking for a boot for the upper ball joints on the M380 and the M450.

After an exhaustive 3 minute search the parts guy found something he thinks will work.
So we ordered one.
It came in today and we went and got it and after a small modification with a razor knife it works great!

This is a cheap and easy boot for the upper ball joints.
Monday i will have another boot here and we will take pics of the mods needed and we will post part numbers etc.
The boot was $18 without the discount card,$14 with the card.

Thanks for the work randy. I felt that the upper joint would be possible
To duplicate with a cv boot, but did not have the motivation as I did not need one at this time. You have done us all a service -- AGAIN !!

Excellent news. We need full details with lots of pictures. Might as well do the uppers at the same time as the lowers.

The boot comes with the package of grease,to grease the CV joint.
it looked, felt and tasted like the ball joint grease so i added it to each joint.

You got that right!!

Just curious as I cannot be certain by the pictures I have seen, but is it possible, to drill and tap a zerk fitting into the upper ball joint like Jim did on the lower ball joint?
