Here is the picture of Ron's solenoid, the part number on it is 70-311224-5 ;


That would be a White - Rogers 70-311224-5 solenoid;

How does this work electrically (are there NO and NC contacts, or two NO contacts for separate circuits)?

Is this solenoid used commonly on the bus and would you advise keeping one on hand? I don't remember seeing to many configured like that.

Look throughout the coach to see if you can find any more of them, I would at least get one spare for the one you are replacing, I don't have any of this model solenoid at all. All of mine are of the type that I posted earlier.

Ordered the solenoid today and as you said it was hard to find. I finally found a cross reference to a Stancor part #70-922 and was able to order it on line. I laso just got back from pickiong up a new ignition switch just in case that was the problem going to put that in as well
