Default battery cables

Hello all,
Just want to see if there was any interest in custom battery cables at the WOG rally. And again at Q in Jan.

Cables would be available in black for ground cables.
I was thinking about making either red or blue for hot cables and they would have the words. BLUE BIRD and/or WANDERLODGE printed on them.

Cables would be custom made on the spot to match your needs.
All cables would have new ends with proper hole size. Soldered NOT crimped.
Black cable would have black shrink tube. Red or blue cables would have red shrink tube.

Probably use 2/0 WELDING cable. Much more flexible. Have higher amp rating than plain battery cable. And would probably serve the needs of any coach.
4/0 is available but VERY expensive.

Not sure of pricing yet. Depends on volume.

Welcome any input.

Randy,
I've seen under the hood a a lot of coaches that sure could use some new cables. Especially those not using sealed batteries.

Those that really need them would find easier starting, better charging and longer battery life.

And besides, wouldn't it be so cool to have WANDERLODGE battery cables on a Wanderlodge.

Any interest in having a vendor table at the vendor hall on Friday at the rally to show the cables to all?

I hadn't really thought about that. I guess I could. But I would most likely be assembling the cables in my trailer workshop.

I thought about making up some "standard length" cables, and have them at the table. But on a Wanderlodge there is NO SUCH THING. So they all would have to be custom made. Makes for a neater appearance if they are made to fit.

Let's see how much interest there is.

Anyone out there need new battery cables? Custom made just for your coach. And with BLUEBIRD WANDERLODGE printed on them.

Um...maybe we could print on them "Custom made for ______ " Like you see on the dashboard of some high priced cars and coaches!

Battery cable tattos - I love it

It might help in recovering them if they are ever stolen A cash reward wouldn't hurt either

Would you then take them with you when you sold your coach

Can you imagine the look on a buyer's face when you inform him you're taking the battery cables - priceless

Gotta catch that one on camera

Don, or the printed label could read, "Stolen from KC's Wanderlodge...

Don,

I don't care about the print on the cables, but I am interested in making five new cables. I am about to install some inverter fuse holders and another battery shutoff switch, replacing all the cables. Depending upon cost, I'd be very interested in putting off that job to the rally. Got a feeling for price, yet?

I'll be trying to get a somewhat accurate price on cable and ends in the next week. It will probably depend on how much material I buy. So any input from other members would be most helpful.

I'm with Ron, I don't care if they are printed but I'd be interested in new cables
