if I remember correctly the thermostats are powered from the AC units, probably via that transformer built into the circuit board, but I have not looked at this stuff in a few years so I could easily be wrong, heck I can't remember what I had to eat last night.
After fixing the blown fuse/wire on the board and swaping a thermostat out of the bed room, my front A/C is working. It's not as cool as the two newer ones that were replaced, but it was a nice accomplishment.

What should one consider for PM on a roof top AC unit, outside of cleaning the filters? Mine are working great, but I want them to continue, any suggestions?

not really much you can do.

- clean filter
- clean coils
- run at least once a month even in winter - lubricate internals
- prevent icing
- avoid electrical surges - rare you can fry boards but most are fused for this
- drain tubes - free of obstructions

Speaking of roof AC, does anyone happen to have an inductive ammeter that they can clamp on a typical roof AC unit and tell me what numbers they see for both LRM and also max operation?

I don't have the manuals for my roof ac, and need a ballpark figure.

Not knowing what unit you have here is a Coleman Mach III spec list from PPL Motorhome website: http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...onditioner.htm

It shows Full Loads amps as: 14.9 amps

You can look around at PPL Motohomes if that is not what you need.

Hope it helps.
