I'm getting very excited now.

I may upgrade some of my switches with lit switches so that I can see their status at a glance.

Ooh, I figured out how to use attachments as pictures inline, too. Swanky.

I have one of these blankety bleepin red swithes in my dash. I hate it. Too bright at night, too much glare. Which reminds me I need to replace it.

You can get the exact switch you need from Well Gain Electronics for $9.90 a pop. http://tinyurl.com/33nts8m

I'd dim them down, I agree they are too bright stock for the instrument panel. I don't consider what the 'bird has to be a 'dashboard'

Are the dash rocker switches removed from the back of the panel or can they be removed from the front (as you see them in their normal position)?

Someone said that they removed the rocker and cleaned the contacts. Is that done with the switch in its normal position? How is this done?

Thanks for any and all replys!

Rod not sure on what they meant by contact cleaning (external switch posts or internal switch workings). I did recently remove a rocker for my Jake brake (on/off). I had to remove the portion of dash with the switch and squeeze the plastic pressure tangs in the back of the switch before it would release and come out through the front of the dash panel.

OK, I am clear on the SPST and SPDT switches, and I have a couple of momentary switches-one for the compartment locks which is momentary both ways (doesn't lock any more) and the battery switch on the dash which combines the house and chassis batteries is an on-off-momentary switch. Any numbers for those?
Thank you.

Default dash switches

I searched and found a thread that talked about the rocker switches on the dash board. That was just this morning. Some people had bought them from allied electronics, but when I priced them the shipping was more than the switches.
I found these Eaton 160011E rocker switches on EBay. Acording to the aforementioned thread, that I am now unable to find, these are the exact rocker switches. I ordered 5 to have as spares. The price is very good.
