No plugging required, it's blind bolt hole for a particular kind of inlet.

Thanks for quick response Mike. I'll have another question for you tomorrow. I need to take a picture of a tired looking hose on 3208 tonight, then post the question.

Default SteErin pump 82 fc

Our FC35 has had a small leak, just messy, since we got it. It also had some cavitation when it was first started until the fluid warmed up a bit. Its an Eaton pump. I decided a couple weeks ago to take it off and rebuild it. Matched up the o ring seals at Sealco in OKC and the shaft seal from Napa. New bearing as well. I think the pump was suckling air between the case halves when it was cold. Nice quiet, dry pump now.

Mine is leaking via the shaft. Got it off and it feels & sounds good as far as manual rotation tells me.

Your photo matches my Eaton pump. Do you have part numbers for rebuild parts?

Thanks!

Just as a reference on our '85 FC with 3208T, single belt pulley:

My pump issue was a leak from the shaft seal. Replaced and leak fixed. The pump is designed for easy servicing. Glad I tried this myself.

Current NAPA seal part #7465 offered at $17.

Just to add another reference for parts:
