Ed W. is redecorating and said if I come to Perry I can leave with a good unit out of his WB. Perfect for a fixer upper FC35. Keeping it in the family!

Metal racks can be 'tuned' to a microwave. They work in harmonic frequency so not to reflect the RF and spark. A truly tuned filter would be on a microscopic size. They use a mathematically multiplied sized, like skipping every hundred (thousand?) 'teeth' to have a rack that looks like a rack. If you ever put in a fork, you know what a untuned 'comb' filter looks like. They use comb filters to remove unwanted RF frequencies in some commercial transmitters. If spurious RF tries to pass the comb filter it lost to ground and only the proper frequency passes. You can leave a metal spoon or knife in one no problem as long as it's solid metal and alone. Even more then one as along as they are far enough apart not to 'couple'.

Greg, what make and model is the unit you have for sell? Feel free to email me at gerrybc70@msn.com

Thanks for any info
Erwin

Our Sharp conv/micro has metal racks and as long as the are on the ceramic turn table they can be used while microwaving. We have been using it for micro and conv for as long as we have had the BB which is 15 years. What model of unit do you have? You might just call the maker and ask.
