May have been us heading East/. North on 301, we left Brooksville, Fl on the 26th, and drove to Myrtle Beach around 2pm. Headed back to ST. Pete from Myrtle now. Brown 91, wb40'
Got my 21 year old driving, love riding in the bird.

Default No Bird’s spotted

I recognize the intention of this area of the forum. However, we just completed a 2,800 mile trip in our 86 PT 40 from Chattanooga to Tampa to Austin, TX to New Orleans and the back to Chattanooga without seeing another Wanderlodge. This is the first time we have gone to Florida and not seen another Wanderlodge on I-75 between Lake City and Ocala. We call this stretch of the highway the Bird Preserve because over the past 2 years of Wanderlodge ownership we have passed through this area of Florida 6 previous times and have always seen another Bluebird in this area of I-75 until this trip.

We’ll be back on the Road on January 1st Florida bound for a college bowl game. Hope to see another Bird on I-75 this time around. Safe travels to everyone and Happy New Year!

It's funny, but I haven't been on the road with another WL except coming and going from rallies, to include "the Bird Preserve" where I was just 3 weeks ago. I see them on rare occasions... hope you had a great trip

We are currently at Torry Island campground on the south end of Lake Okeechobee. There is a 2000 or so year model Wanderlodge here, but have not seen anyone around. Just wandering who’s it might be.

So we just completed a 2700 mile trip from Tampa, Fl to Laredo, Texas and back to Tampa. We did not see any birds on the trip out to Texas, but we were lucky enough to see 3 on our trip back home. Saw I believe an SP in Florida yesterday that was mauve and silver. On Thursday we saw 2 birds, an LXI in Louisiana and i think it was WB in the panhandle of Florida.
We had a great trip and all my hard work preparing the bird paid off, we did not have one mechanical issue on the trip. Will post some pictures in the appropriate spot here shortly.

Jeff,

Congrats on the successful trip and spotting 3 birds on the way home. Did another quick trip toJacksonville, FL this past week for the Gator Bowl, drove 945 miles round trip. Spotted what I thought was an early model Wanderlodge (early 1970's) on I-10 East bound around 30 minutes west of Jacksonville just west of the highway 301 exit at approximately 11 am on January 3. The bird was painted a bright blue with some silver highlights and was pulling a toad.
