They notate that the speedo & hour meter can not be verified,
And the numbers are not in harmony.

Still worth checking out.

Too far away for me to be too interested, however it would suit me just fine. I don't know anything about the mechanics, but I've always thought a Bluebird should be blue.

I've lowered my standards significantly. I think my needs would be for weekend and regional trips. My early retirement is good, but it has its limits. I have discovered that I like tinkering almost more than I like traveling. Maybe I just ought to have something towed to the back yard.

Yep...a good clean dependable FC with few bells and whistles would work for me.

Yeah I looked at those #'s.....21 mph ??

Bill, I seem to recall there was a 2 bird owner somewhere in the Olympia Wa. area a few years ago that put both up for sale. The purchaser chose the older one...possibly this one. I believe the seller kept the "87FC"????red ,if I recall correctly.

Different one, but excellent memory!

I agree with Stick on the color!.

Also: somewhere in our archives, there is a thread (that maybe I started) that compares engine hours to miles. The cumulative m.p.h. turned out to be less than you'd think.

On the auction site information it states there are no visible oil leaks.

I beg to differ - look at photo 6 and 7. Kinda makes you wonder about their other information if that is how thoroughly they checked it out.

Huh - look how clean the oil pan photo is on the Craigs list entry?? Intentionally hiding something?

I noticed that and the craigslist last photo looks like it had a steam jenny taken to the left side of the motor. IE paint missing, and way to clean

The newbies are being far too picky. I looked at the photos and I would say this is a clean Bird with no signs of body rust. Ritchie Bros. normally power washes engines and sometimes paints them. They do not mislead the public. If this is being sold at a machinery auction it could turn out to be a huge bargain. If the buyers are all looking at Cats sometimes an RV will go at bottom dollar. If a newby is truly looking and not tire kicking it is certainly worth a look. Otherwise you will always be a Wannabee.

I just wish it was in Ft. Valley and not the Pacific Northwest.
