Juan did it the way i have done it,several times.
Now he can add a new CB antenna wire and other wires with ease. Good job Juan.

Once again the WOG at work in the background. And I don’t think sheering them on top and pushing them through is gonna work. They are stainless steel and countersunk flush on the motor base.

As for Riv-nuts, I thought about it, but had not heard of anyone doing it in fiberglass. So I just reinstalled with washers and nuts. Has anyone here, ever used Riv-nuts in fiberglass?

For the WB 42 owners this is the access. I had to remove the ceiling cover and enlarge the hole. Did this last year to replace the motor in the light.

I installed them on my spotlight. Mine penetrated the steel roof not the fiberglass end caps. But I have used the rivnuts on the goat rail and ladder at back on fiberglass cap. My spotlight was inoperable on rotation as well. Clean with wd40 and lightly grease the plastic ball bearings. I also can’t emphasize not to overtighten the four screws. One of my motors seemed like it was DOA. Disconnect them from the spotlight so they have no load on them. Run them in forward and reverse (switch the positive and negative)multiple times for 30 seconds or so. You might have to hand twist them to get them started. Once you run the years of sitting still off them they seem to run good. Resolder the connections. Sometimes a cold solder joint is an amperage loss. I test ran them on a car battery with some jumper wires. Reassemble the light and you should be good. Don’t get to excited. They don’t run very smooth when they rotate. Very cheaply made light for how much they cost.

As a follow up, motor installed mechanism lubed lightly and reassembled. Works great.
No to the next task, Rear steer axle stopped unlocking for turns...

Thanks guys (Gunner)! I was in the coach the other day and tried the light. It only moves up and down. I need to troubleshoot the wiring as I do not hear a thing when I go to rotate it. I bought a Riv-nut kit when I bought the coach. Very handy. I was thinking of converting it to LED. Looking at the LED spot lights, they start at 600+ and go WAY up. I see a 'drop in' LED refit, 300$. Have to see if I can find a Chinese one. Crazy.

I can hear the motor trying to rotate, but nothing happens. Has anyone sourced the gears yet?
