Question Microwave only blinks, nothing works

The Sharp Carousel II microwave I have only blinks continually when I plug it in. None of the buttons make any difference. Are they repairable? Or do I have to replace the entire unit. Based on the posts about pulling the microwave, it looks like a bear to pull.

Since there are no comments on this I guess I'll put "replace microwave" on my repair list.

If this is the original Sharp, there are parts available any competent appliance repair shop may be able to fix it.
Atleast check the internal fuse,

My microwave did the same thing. I just pushed the CLEAR button and it worked.

It lights up and all lights on the panel just blink just as it would if you just plugged it in. I have pressed every button on it individually and in pairs and nothing changes. If the fuse is bad, nothing would light up, right?

It's been too long for me to remember what mine did, but it didn't cook anything!! Anyway, I removed it, took the outside cover off, found a $2 ceramic fuse from Radio Shack, replaced the one in the micro/conv oven and it worked for years afterward. For $2 it is worth a try. If it doesn't fix it, you have succeeded in removing a worthless POS from the confines of your kitchen What can be better than that?
