Default Water Heater Question

1990 SP36

I have a leak with my pump...plan to pull it and replace...but I am hopeful someone can educate me on this system.

Here are pics

Can someone tell me, what is that blue bottle for (the one with the "purge" switch on it?

Is this a standard set up?

Phil

That will inject air pressure into your water system to purge out all the water for winterizing. Very important not to leave this on or your bus may not build air pressure past ~60 psi.

Thanks Jeff. Appreciate that information. I'm not even sure it works...but good to know what it is supposed to do.

It can also inject water into your air system if a check valve fails.

Many owners have disconnected and capped off their purge lines or have added a ball valve to eliminate the possibility of back feeding water into the air system.
