Just wondering about getting to the pop of value. Found the access panel but before tearing into it do you have to remove the shutoff handle?

Where your 92 WB has that round cover over the knob shaft, my 91 WB has a square cover that shields the knob shaft. With the shaft cover removed, the shaft stays in place but you can slide the access panel away from the wall and allow the access panel to hang on the shaft.
