Default Hotel California heads to SE Pennsylvania

Hello fellow Wandererererers,

Chris and Mary Beningo here who recently acquired Bim Burt's 97 Wanderlodge 41WLWB, "Hotel California" from the estate of ex-cobra-driver Paul Luse. Paul passed at the end of last year.

Unfortunately, As Paul's physical condition deteriorated, he became less able to work on and take care of the coach as it should have been. Paul's brother and cousin addressed several deficiencies but some gremlins remain that still need to be dispatched. We were hoping to find a "more affordable" S60 powered coach and think we are going to be very good for each other.

This is our 4th motor home but first luxury coach. I am a bit overwhelmed (or maybe over-amazed) with all the systems and their intricacies but I think that is coming more from a position of not being intimately familiar with them (yet) and how they are supposed to work and interact. There are a lot of switches and gauges!

Paul's brother and Cousin spent a few hours with a retired friend and I to familiarize us with the unit when we flew out to inspect the coach before finalizing the deal and driving it home. In hindsight, we probably should have video taped the show n tell.

I will start other threads with specific questions soon and in the future as they arise. We truly appreciate your willingness and efforts to help fellow Bird keepers. Looking forward to becoming a much more knowledgeable contributor.

Along the same lines, if there are any Local WOGers who would like to check out the coach in person, help get us better familiarized with it and determine what is and isn't working as designed, please reach out. The coach is in zip code 19520 in an insulated Pole Shed with lights, concrete floor and heat. Not trying to spoil anyone, but certainly I am hoping to stack the deck!

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Welcome guys. I used to live not far from you in Pottstown, now I'm in Phoenixville, not far either. Always happy to see another coach, especially one close by!

Chris,

Thanks for the offer! Keep in touch and we can see if our planets might align. I would hope to get things sorted out by then but one never knows what they can learn from someone.

Thanks,
Chris
