Default 1979 FC XV model

How many of these coaches were made?

Are there any for sale at the present time?

I was told by John Finn here in the forums that there are only 12 of them. I have one of them

Default How does it differ from a 35ft FC?

Remember reading it is a "double frame". Is it a lot heavier/poorer speed/more of a slug on hills?
Is there a lot more storage?
Inside about the same as a FC?

Im not experienced enough yet to know what the differences are. its a forward coach as well so i would imagine its just about as gutless as another FC. it weighs 34,000 lbs or so it says on the dash. it goes about 65-70 on the freeway with not a lot of wind, when it hits a hill it will go down anywhere from 50-60 but im in no hurry, they can all pass me.. havent taken it through the mountain passes yet though. we will see how she handles.

FWIW, there is another one for sale in Thunder Bay Ontario, nice too. Also I am fairly sure that these are 35 FC's, not 36

Bruce
It is a little heavier -
It does have larger outside storage
Yes it's still an FC at heart.
Solid classic beauty on 6 wheels.
I worked at Blue Bird and was there when several of these double framed Coaches went down the line,I thought they were way COOL then and now

So its a double frame.. does that mean its a lot sturdier or something? I guess im confused as to why that is important. Its cool yes, but i just want to know more about it. Im excited about the outside storage and the fact that this thing wont fall apart from vibrations like the other rv i had, and like most of the other POS rv's out there will eventually do. Its definitely my dream bus!
