Default Blew chunk out of tag tire, anyone have advice?

We're at a campground in High Point, NC after limping in with chunks out of driver tag. No real damage to RV, but will need to replace. Will try to get a pair for front and put fronts on tag. Anyone have any idea who would come to me or if I need to limp to tire place. And where in this area to get the 315s I'll need?

Corey call 800 847-3911 for Michelin service. How old are your tags? They are a commercial service but will tell you where you can get a tire of your size.

corey I have no idea what brand of tires you have on your coach but I love Sumitomo ST718 all steel tires for mine. They are a really tough tires with not only steel belts in the tread but also an all steel sidewall which protects it from road debris. You will find them less costly then Michelins. Don't let them chose a tire for you, but instead tell them what you want. Might even be a good time to change out both steers for an over size all steel tire.

Thanks for all the advice, I have Snyder tire on the way to the campground by way of the Michelin help line. Will be replacing two tags, with new tires on steer. Should be good for another few miles.

I have a plan that is now almost executed. New tires on, but the nice guy from Snider tried to put my tag on inside out and scratched the heck out of my rim. They are taking it to be polished, but are these rims on a 2000 LXi the kind that have the coating that will be removed when polished? I will need to insist on a new rim if that's the case.

Accuride wheels that are coated are marked "Accu-shield. Alcoa's are marked "Dura-Bright".

Thanks Rich, don't see any marking like that on my Alcoas, so they should be polish able.
