Default bird older than 10..finding a spot

Well having My 1983 wonder Lodge in the shop has been a blessing in disguise. I have been calling around to find a place where I can park her afterwards and I'm being told she is too old most of the parks only want up to 10 year old vehicles. How do you get around this problem. I am currently up in the Bellingham Washington area.

If they are that **** snooty why would you want to lower your standards. Find a better class of people to hang out with.

Lol! It's hard to lie about an '83.
It's not so much a class of people... They just are crazy standards you find out here.
I can't afford $44 a night, long term at the state park.
I'm almost considering a KOA membership. Does anyone know if the elect is a separate charge or included.
I have passport America, but they're all short stays and no weekend included.

This has been discussed here quite a bit. Read.

http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.co...ad.php?t=22083

I tell them it's vintage Blue Bird Wanderlodge restored writhin the past 5 years. If they are not happy with that, I send them a photo. We have not been turned away yet....Even at the "Resorts".. Just keep her looking pretty.

Most of these places use this as a blanket excuse to keep the shabby stuff away.

As a matter of fact, we are at "a no older than 10" park now. Use it a a regular "outpost". A premium site front and center opened up and the owners offered it to us .... it's good PE for them..... Ha ha a show bird Often people com up ant tell us its one of the nicest units in the 225 site park.

$44 at a State Park? Wow, look for a county park..
just show up at an rv park you find convenient. If they say anything about age tell them it is a classic restored.

The bus you have looks good, bet they won't turn you away if you just show up.
Don't call first.

KOA aka (keep on adding) is not that cheap either at times, I have never been asked to leave on a weekend or pay the normal rate with the Passport America, holiday weekends or with special events it may be different. It would depend more if they are booked up for that site but usually they do try to accommodate folks. Many National Forest campgrounds are inexpensive but many are seasonal. Google free campsites, you will find a couple websites that offer either free or low cost camp sites. Many county & state fairgrounds off cheaper sites just stop and ask. There are also trailer parks that offer long term but you may have to commit to a month or more per stay. There is always Quartzsite, $40 for 14 days or around $175 for 5 months, that's cheap.

Keep a couple of pictures on your computer. I was looking for some place where I could park and was said they wouldn't allow a Motorhome older than 10 years. I said that I understood they wanted to keep their park looking nice, and if I sent them a picture would they reconsider... I sent the photos, and they welcomed me with open arms.

Try telling them it is a WANDERLODGE; maybe they think wonderlodge is a chinese knockoff.

Shoot no, don't tell it is "restored" With a serious, straight face, just tell them it is a Wanderlodge... a real Wanderlodge which any knowledgeable RV expert would tell you is, it is the best RV money can buy and BTW,... it comes with it's own Grey Poupon Har!
