Hey Carl!
I would have bought it if they hadn’t
I would have buffed her up fixed and upgraded everything and shipped her of to Australia, they got that great 30 year old rule. Don’t need to change anything to import after 30
Jeanine and I would have done the continent and pass her off to the next owner. So I’m still looking for a 87-89 FC.

She is in very good condition but there are several issue some were known before purchase other have arisen but that’s the nature of the beast, at 31 years old this is to be expected, but all in all a great find

After spending the day with it putting on new tires, what a shame the Michelin XZE were perfect, too bad they were 10 years old. I am duly impressed with the last years of the FC. She’s nimble, stops on dime, ( for a bus ) the retarder works super good, quick, put the pedal to the metal and this girl will dance! really a pleasure in Dallas rush hour traffic. Interiors is just typically the Best of Bluebird, I’ve looked at literally hundreds of conversations, easy to do living in Tennessee bus capital of the world. Very few interiors are as good as a Bird. Just a great coach and they are not expensive.

I would recommend this model Bird to anyone!

Alex and Keira are a bit overwhelmed by the attention she draws. From total strangers to the Texas St Troopers, “ I want one”, the trooper said, fun for me, most of us know this, birds are the standard by which others are judged, that’s not just bluster, I showed the coach to 5 couples at the Traders Village RV Park and flea market, by the way this is should stop on a weekend, 129 acre flea market in its 50 th year running

Thanks for the comments and I know you guys will be there for Alex and Kiera when the need us, which should be any time after next Tuesday when I send them home on their own

Congratulations Kurt and your nephew! I love it when a new generation makes the plunge! He is lucky to have an uncle that has your knowledge! You also did not have to fly west and do the drive so that saved some $$! I bought ours thru Randy also and would again if I had it in me to start over with a newer coach. I am happy where I am at.

Thanks for looking at the coach in Hood River John
We just got home left Arrington Tx this morning at 8:00 am got to Fayetteville Tennessee 12:30 pm
Turns out my Nephew is a super driver and took to the new FC like a fish in water.
I am very impressed with the FC with the 300 turbo CAT. Seriously that girl can dance.
We got new Sumittomo 12rx22.5 with Centramics on all wheels and she rides like on rails.
I was told she would impress and she does. No brag just fact

Kurt your nephew will love that 87. The 87-89 FC birds were great, plenty of power and nimble maneuverability. I do miss our 88FC we put over 100K miles on it during our ownership and maintained it to the max. We took it to places that a sane person wouldn't think of and it never disappointed us. One thing the nephew will have to remember it has to be looked at as expendable cash, it's not an investment. Things will break and repairs have to be performed but with that said enjoy it and the lifestyle that comes with the bird. We went places we never dreamed of, met super nice folks along the way and we enjoyed the group rallies. If the nephew wants to really improve the ride I'd recommend that they put 315 tires on the front, they made a world of difference on our old girl, JMO.

Thanks John
The kids just took off on their solo drive
It’s raining and they have Mont Eagle in their first 70 miles to Jupiter Fla
I told them they need to see you eventually
They plan on redoing the interior, Keirs’s Family are Master tile and marble designers for that area they do real nice work
Should be interesting to see what they do

Mont eagle isn't bad I tackled it pulling a f150. 20 mph up, 35 down the south side without ever touching brakes.
