Default Scan Gauge D Not Compatible

I was looking getting Scan Gauge D for my coach.
I like this unit because it seems simple and its plug & play.

I have the rectangle 12 pin DDL Connector. I have read on here
that you can get an adapter from Scan Gauge for my plug.

Before purchasing the unit I gave them a call to see if they had an
adapter for my plug. They said NO. They told me my coach is to old.

Is that true???? Is anybody out there use Scan Gauge on older coaches?
Is there an adapter out there for the 12 pin?

Thanks for your help

That scangauge should work with the ddec 2 since they and the transmission are both J1708. I have seen some DDL to round connector adapters, which should also work, but scangauge just doesn't supply them apparently.

You could buy a DDL connector and replace the 16-pin ALDL one on that cable, if that's what you got.

Thats interesting!

When I asked if it was compatible with that connector they sent me a cable for it...

Maybe they discontinued that cable...?

Might give them another call and see, mention that they used to have it.

This was a few years ago though.

Well, I've got a ScanGauge G in my '99 LXi and it works just fine. I wasn't really sure of some of the gauge readings on the dashboard (oil pressure in particular read a few PSI low) but the numbers on the ScanGauge were in the normal range.
Interesting to see 25 gallons/hour on the fuel flow, though...

I bought a scan gauge for my 91 8v92. I called the lady knew exactly the plug adaptor I needed and sent it to me no charge. I just returned from Las Vegas yesterday the scan gauge works great I only use the water temp, oil pressure, mileage. I like that the monitor is small and fits below my stereo and above my rear view monitor . Mine is a ddec ll.

Default DDEC I vs DDEC II

Yes, KCs former coach "Pasture Prime" was equipped with the DDEC I. See the link below and read posts 1 thru 19 for details.
