I had to pull mine two times while at Russellville. The foot valve was hose clamped on to plastic pipe. Only caution is don't crimp the plastic while pulling over the well head.

Woody, I'm in the trailer park bis. and I do this a lot. 1) use a weighted drop line to check the water level when static and then under load. 2) if water level doesn't drop under load then check your foot valve. 3) if foot valve is OK raise the assembly a foot or so off the bottom and check.
Another recommendation I would make is to install a submersible pump, 1/3 to a 1/2 horse will work fine for your app., any questions let me know.

I have pull lots of pumps and replace leaky foot valves and adjusted plenty of pumps and repacked seals and cleaned air control valves.
I agree with butch. Install a submersible pump with a low pressure sw and you may never have to pull it again.

Woody is in Ark.
His well is a 2'' or maybe an old driveshaft or bambo or something.
A sub. pump may not go down his pipe.
